Officially a Senior

Woah, its been months since my last blog! haha nobody comes by here anymore

Well, i have been so active lately. Drama was part of it… but i will not go into detail it would take too long but i feel better now. thanks to those events, i’ve drifted away from a few people and closer to others, but  i realized who were my true friends and who really matter in my life. & so i’ve had so much fun this summer One highlight from this month has to be the M.E.Ch.A retreat~ It was VERY different from the last one, but it was also fun in its own way. This time, it was held at Ruben’s house. And of course we had new officers. Many of them were familiar faces but never really had a whole conversation with them, just like Peke . i developed so many bonds. It was so nice to work together with everyone while making dinner for the guests; i paired up with Chimi to cut the vegetables i was so impressed to see a new side of him that i had never seen before. he was so sweet And also, Chito was so sweet to help me collect all the can tabs that he could while we were cleaning up so i could donate them to the Ronal McDonald’s House. Afterwards we had so many activities one of the best was music making it was so interesting we had  lots of instruments from the Middle East and South America. we were LOUD After that activity, we had the 5 mins private talks with different partners. I paired up with Ariz, Ruben, Peke, Vanessa,  and then Francisco. i learned so many new things about each of them

During bed time,  Ariz, Meli, Nora and Steph and i shared the living room we didnt sleep all night 50 First Dates was on the TV and it played and replayed lots of times but we never actually watched it haha we had girl talk instead. Ruben’s mom kept on shushing us all night & since we didn’t sleep, we were the first ones to be up so  we decided to go wake up the guys that were sleeping outside in camping tents (rampage! haha nah). we took pictures of those animals hahaha and i say animals because they were in such interesting states…some weren’t even fully dressed

i was so sleepy by breakfast time surprisingly, i managed to stay semi alive during the activities. But the activity that woke me up completely was the team poster activity,  we split into groups of 5 and every member of the group was given different roles (the leader, the helper, the wrecker, the unproductive one etc.) hahaa it was SO fun watching Peke play the destructive role, while i was playing team leader. it was amazing and the sweetest thing is that he apologyzed at the end so cute

Later on, we had a group challange, we had to cross the patch of grass in the front yard without stepping on it and all we had was 10 brown paper bags for the entire group of 20. by that time my energy drained completely so i gave up after a while and just stood in the back. i know thats not being a good team mate but i couldn’t take it anymore! Chris, Veera, Chito, Charliee and me were the last ones and we only had 3 bags left. guess what we did yea, we had to piggy back ride… it was so embarrasing but so fun mission complete

Our las circle activity, annonymous suggestions, that was one of my favorite ones .

The ride back home was so too funny hahaa aww

i wish us the best for this upcoming year, hope we work together and make it the best year M.E.Ch.A has ever had

July 26, 2009. Friends, MEChA.
